Offset and rehabilitation bonds

A mine rehabilitation bond secures closure of a mining title. Offset legal security (for example a statutory covenant or declaration) and offset financial contributions secure a biodiversity outcome. They are not interchangeable. RehabLedger runs both workflows and will not mix a NSW security deposit with an EPBC offset score.

Critical minerals, gold, rare earths, energy, and data-centre land can trigger both a rehabilitation security and an offset. The engine room accepts the same file classes — reports, spreadsheets, GIS, AutoCAD — then classifies the workflow.
